ARE YOU TAKING PICTURES WITH YOUR IPHONE? HERE'S WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW!

Apple has been using a proprietary photo format in iOS11 and up called HEIC. This is different from the normal, standard JPG format. HEIC stands for High-Efficiency Image Container. In comparison to JPG, it reduces the file size by up to 50% and offers better, if not the same, quality. The issue with HEIC is that it’s not generally compatible with other devices and apps, and you or others may not be able to open a HEIC photo from a computer. There are some workarounds if you find yourself or others having issues.
